PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/DESIGN PHILOSOPHY:
Gary Gilbert’s professional career has been spent continuously improving and refining his craft of Architecture design, whether on street-corner renovations or campuses encompassing hundreds of thousands of square feet.  As director of design at Coleman Partners, Gary has formulated a unique user-focused approach that involves client and stakeholder in the design process on an on-going basis. This collaborative methodology for establishing priorities and goals has resulted in literally hundreds of successfully completed projects.

Gary’s breadth of experience gained through Coleman Partners commissions includes a wide variety of genres, scopes, locales, and budgets; many of which have received local, regional, or national recognition, yet he considers design to be about creatively achieving client goals and never about fad or fashion. His decades in practice have resulted in churches meeting the ministry needs of congregations, resort properties providing memorable experiences for families, workspaces operating effectively for businesses, learning spaces educating generations, and private developments meeting the programmatic and fiscal goals of developers.

Each of Gary’s personal and professional experiences inform his work for both public and private clients, making every work area, leaning space, worship space or leisure environment come together as an efficient, enjoyable, exciting, and budget-conscious whole.
