Coleman Partners Architects, LLC completed renovations to the retail warehouse on Florida Blvd, in Baton Rouge, formerly knows as Sears, for the Recreation and Park Commission for the Parish of East Baton Rouge (BREC). This 140,000 sq. ft. “big box” retail facility was transformed into three distinct areas for BREC; administrative headquarters, a centralized warehouse and storage facility; and activity spaces such as meeting rooms, exercise room and exhibit space. The headquarters also houses the BREC foundation and includes shell space for future BREC offices or space for non-profit and profit tenants.
Additionally, the site plan includes a phased plan that will create paths and recreational facilities around the perimeter of the building.
